Orange and White Chocolate Blondies With Orange Caramel Sauce

Summer is here~I would say yay~but I don’t really love summer~its hot~it’s sticky~its humid at times and well~you sweat when your outside lol~generally I only like to sweat when I am working out or at the gym or in the sauna~those are the only exceptional ways to sweat~not when your going out some where with family and friends and the heat is blazing down on you and sweat profusely from your nice casual clothes that you try desperately to look good in. I try to minimize my “going out somewhere” to a minimum~of if I am going on an outing with friends, family or boyfriends~its a place where there is shade and air conditioned. What does this have to do with my deliciously sweet and fresh Orange and white chocolate blondies with Orange Caramel Sauce~ABSOLUTELY NOTHING~I’m just ranting a bit but these blondies are a refreshing take on a regular blondies~and a bit healthy~ using whole wheat flour~its quite possibly one of my top 10 favorite blondies I’ve made~because of its fresh orange zest and the Orange caramel sauce~OMG~My orange caramel sauce is to die for~perfect pairing for this blondie~or a scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream~you choose but either way you have a perfect summer dessert that is sweet~a bit refreshing and somewhat healthy, I mean anything with orange, lemon, lime or anything with citrus is refreshing and this totally is and its like a 50-50 bar but in blondie form with caramel~I mean who doesn’t love caramel~especially Orange caramel.


Orange and White Chocolate Blondies With Orange Caramel Sauce

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Yield: 12 Bars


  • Orange Caramel Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup fresh squeeze and strained Orange juice ( two Medium ripe orange or I large Orange)
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 3/4 Cup sugar
  • 1/4 Cup corn Syrup
  • 1/3 Cup heavy cream
  • Orange & White Chocolate Blondies
  • 1 Cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 Cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 Cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 Teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1 Heaping cup brown sugar packed
  • Zest of ripe orange
  • 1 Tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 Heaping cup white chocolate Chips


  1. Orange caramel Sauce
  2. In a small saucepan mix sugar, orange juice, and syrup over medium heat, let it boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent bubble ups, remove from heat and stir in cream and orange zest. Store in fridge.
  3. Orange & White Chocolate Blondies
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Line 9x9 baking pan with aluminum foil and butter the the insides of the foil. In bowl combine the flours, salt, baking powder and orange zest. Set aside. In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment cream butter and sugar together till light and fluffy, add eggs one at time mixing till incorporated, add Orange juice, and vanilla bean paste and mix well. Whisk 1 heaping cup of white chocolate to flour mixture, in low speed add flour to the batter till just combined, spread evenly on the foiled line baking pan and bake in the middle of the oven for 25-30 minutes. Transfer pan to cooling rack and cool completely before cutting, serve wit ha drizzle of Orange caramel Sauce.
