Arrabiatta Sauce

In all honestly~Struggling to write and post new recipes is getting harder~everyday but when I do find one that’s interesting and easy to cook~you know I have to share with my readers~and also~I am letting you guys know NOW~I will be posting some ice cream recipes soon~but thats another topic, today its all about this Arrabbiata sauce~I must say~I never really knew that pasta dishes can be spicy~I swear I never knew that before because every time I have gone to a Italian restaurant~I dont see many spicy dishes on their menu and this was a revelation to me, a simple yet sweet and delicious spicy pasta dish is something that I have not made till NOW. This Arrabbiata sauce can go from mild to high in spicy depending on your taste, I personally love spicy foods~and I get that from my dad~I am my dad’s son and it weird to think about it LOL really because I never thought that I would have the same taste palate as him but~Genes are Genes~Am I right~in the sauce as well has ricotta cheese which adds creaminess to this delightful sauce that is good on any kind of pasta~and you can see I chose fettuccine~but choose what ever kind of pasta you like~its an easy weeknight dish to spice things up in your weekly Italian theme dinner nights~ or just to try a spicy Italian dish~either way you will not be disappointed on this sauce~its a KILLER~


Italian Sausages & Chicken Arrabbiata Sauce

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Yield: 6-8


  • 6 Ounces Sweet And/or Hot Italian sausage
  • 2 dried chillis, mince ( remove seeds for less heat)
  • 1 Medium yellow onion, dice
  • 2 Garlic cloves, mince
  • 1 28 oz Can tomato sauce
  • 1 15 oz Can dice tomatoes
  • 1 Cup full fat ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 Cup torn basil leave
  • 1 Teaspoon kosher salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Your favorite pasta cooked to al dente
  • (left over chicken breast grilled or pan fried) Optional


  1. In a large Saute Pan cook and brown Sausages with 1 Tablespoon of olive oil, removed sausages with slotted spoon, cook mince chillis and onions till onions are translucent, about 2-5 minutes. Add garlic and stir, add tomatoes sauce and dice tomatoes with the juices. Heat to simmer for 30 minutes covered. Add the sausage ( and chicken if using) with ricotta cheese, parsley, basil and salt, add black pepper to taste and cook till sausages are heated through, stir in your choice of pasta and top with grated parmesan. Eat and enjoy
