Cheesecake Mocha Brownie

So as much as I like to have some freshness in my kitchen sometimes by way of dessert treats I have to be honest with you, I just really really love Chocolate, now I can say I love chocolate because I really do~I like fresh and fruity desserts but I dont love them, does not mean I wont have fresh sweet treats like Lemon bars or a good fruit pie or crumble but~I just lean towards more fudgy~cakey~Deep & rich goodness that is chocolate~this mocha cheesecake brownie combines 3 things that I really love in a brownie, mocha~Cheesecake & well brownie, lets just call the brownie the third thing, a cheesecake in the middle with a mocha flavored brownie with big chocolate chunks~its mouth watering delicious and~even though its hot and humid out this summer of 2017~at least there is still brownies like my mocha cheesecake brownie to satisfy my sweet chocolate tooth and hopefully yours.

Cheesecake Mocha Brownie

Yield: 12 bars


  • Mocha Brownie
  • 1/2 Plus 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 Cup unsalted butter(8 tablespoons)
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 Kosher salt
  • 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Teaspoon espresso powder
  • 2 Tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 Large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A handful of chocolate chunks
  • Cheesecake
  • 8 Ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, line a 8x8 inch baking pan with foil that overhangs on the side, butter the foil and set aside. on a double broiler melt butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips mixing till smooth, Let the chocolate cool for 5 minutes, then stir in granulated sugar, add eggs one at a time mixing well with each addition, stir in vanilla, in another bowl whisk together flour, salt, cocoa powder and espresso powder then fold in gently to the chocolate mixture till incorporated and smooth. Set aside.
  2. Cheesecake
  3. with either a hand mixer or a stand mixer beat the cream cheese until its smooth and creamy, add sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix one more time till its smooth.Set aside.
  4. Assembly
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter on your prepared pan, then spread the cheesecake over the brownie batter evenly, then spread the remaining brownie batter on top, add a handful of chocolate chunks on top of the brownie batter. With your oven rack on the lower middle of your preheated oven bake for 35-38 minutes, till a toothpick in the middle is inserted with only a few moist crumbs. transfer the pan to a cooling rack and let it cool for 45 minutes, then transfer to fridge to cool completely before serving.
