So let’s talk about biscuits, now what could be better than biscuits I tell ya? Cheese & Bacon, so I decided to put them together and what I got is the most Buttery, bestest ( I know its not a word lol) drop biscuits EVER~BAR NONE~ now you know I am serious when I all caps and bold the word ~BAR NONE~.
I know, you have looked at other bloggers of their recipes for drop biscuits and other cooks and chefs they will tell you the same thing about their recipe for drop biscuits but mine trumps them all lol~yes I have that much confidence in these delicious, buttery, soft on the inside but crispy on the outside heaven of a drop biscuits I mean take a look.
Your Mouth just waters right? at the though of taking a bite out of these delicious biscuits. When I was making these today my mouth Salivated alot~like alot alot lol~ I seriously don’t know how I had the strength to eat just one~I could have devour all 11 of them by my self and no one would know~not even My Baby lol~but I did make this for him,~He loves biscuits~he LOVES them~he eats more biscuits than I do but its all good I’m not complaining. I had the intention of posting my delicious biscuits on my blog to be my first recipe but the timing was not right so I decided to tweak the recipe a bit, nothing change, just the kind of cheese I use which I think I will stick with the 4 cheese instead of Parmesan.
Take a look inside the deliciousness of it. Angels are singing right now. Drop Biscuits are alot easier than traditional biscuits because these do not require rolling, you dont need to knead them to as well which is PERFECT I think.
Lest Start Making Biscuits: Part 1. Gather all your ingredients and utensils.
2. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, the salt and sugar together.
I use Sargento 4 State Cheddar Cheese but really you can use what ever cheese you like, I just had it on hand.
3. On a 400 degree preheated oven, line a baking sheet with foil and cooling wrack and place 4 bacon slices ( what ever kind of bacon you like, I get my bacon at my butcher shop they make their own bacon and that’s what I use) and bake till they are crispy( about 20 minutes, keep an eye out, dont over bake them)
When they are cook
Let them cool and then Crumble on a plate line with paper towels then add to the biscuit mixture.
Melt a stick of Butter( that’s 1/2 cup of butter which equals to 8 tablespoons) till its melted and slightly cooled.Add to the biscuit mixture and stir until lumps are form.
Add the Cheese and mix till its combined
Then add the Buttermilk and mix till the dough is wet and sticky but still lumpy and dry.
Use a dinner spoon and scoop out the dough into a prepared baking sheet line with parchment paper.
Form into a ball slightly and bake in a 450 degree oven for 15-16 minutes.
On a small sauce pan heat 2 tablespoons of butter and garlic ( Dice or whole) and cook till garlic has infuse with butter ( careful not to over cook the garlic ) and on the last 5 minutes of the biscuits brush them with garlic butter and continue to cook till they are done.
Note: These Biscuits are adaptable, you can serve them as bread for dinner or you can have them for breakfast as well. If you have Left overs, just freeze them in a freezer safe big ziplock bag and you can have them any time, pop them in the microwave for a minute, or for crispier taste, reheat them in a 350 degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
