Dark Chocolate Mousse With Oreo tart Crust

~Yay~I am very very very VERY excited because its February, and you know what February is? DO YOU? CHOCOLATE MONTH, yes February is chocolate month and its perfect because its also valentines day and you know what you give your significant other on Valentines day ( Besides a surprise proposal, break- up or I am gay ) Chocolate. I love chocolate, anyone who hates chocolate they are totally missing out. I can’t understand it, wait, I cant comprehend anyone hating chocolate, its soo good, decadent, silky rich, smooth velvety, and chocolatey Goodness that is heaven, it is sin basically, sin but I love chocolate in all of its forms, Chocolate cake, chocolate cup cakes, chocolate muffins, chocolate cookies, chocolate pie ect. I could go on an on and on and on about chocolate but I wont. I am celebrating the month of chocolate with, well what else chocolate and this is my first chocolate Offering to you. My Sinfully smooth DARK CHOCOLATE MOUSSE WITH OREO TART CRUST. It is heaven ( I know I keep saying that and good) smooth and…… well I am speechless, I don’t know how to describe it, you just have to try it for your self. Dark Chocolate Mousse With Oreo Tart Crust & Chocolate Month ( February)~YAY~!!!!!!!

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: Oreo Crust 3, mousse 4


  • Oreo Crust
  • 33 Oreo Cookies
  • 8 Tablespoons of unsalted butter, Melted
  • Dark Chocolate Mousse
  • 6oz of Bittersweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Teaspoon of espresso Powder
  • 1/4 Cup of water
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • 1/4 cup of sugar


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Pulse Oreo cookies in a food processor till they are course crumbs, then pour the melted butter over the oreo's and pulse till butter is incorporated. Press the mixture in to tart pans and bake on a baking sheet for 11 minutes. Let it cool on a wired rack. set aside.

  2. On a Medium Sauce pan melt dark chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of water together mixing till the chocolate is melted on very low heat. take off the heat and let it cool slightly and mix in espresso powder. On a large or medium bowl with a hand mixer with a whisk, beat egg whites till they are soft peaks, gradually add the 1/4 cup of sugar and continue whisking till the egg whites are stiff peaks and glossy. Fold in slightly cooled dark chocolate mixture carefully until well incorporated, chill on the fridge covered for 4-6 hours.

  3. When ready to eat take out oreo crust out of tart pans and place chocolate mousse on top of oreo crust. Garnish with some more dark chocolate chips or with fruit of your choice and serve.
