Pumpkin Apple Pancakes


Yup Yup Yup~That is three Yups because Its almost fall which means only one thing~well many of things actually~its going to get colder and Its Pumpkin Season I look forward to pumpkin season all year because I love pumpkin~I like pumpkin on everything~pumpkin cookies, pumpkin french toast and Pumpkin pancakes. My Pumpkin apple pancakes are right for Fall cooking and right for pumpkin season~it has all the spices that both compliment pumpkin and apple together but in this flapjack pancake style~using granny smith apples gives it tartness~it is a good way to start your pumpkin/fall season and you can bet that this will not be the last pumpkin recipe I will be posting~Stay tune~I will be posting alot of my pumpkin recipes that I have up on my sleeve~


Pumpkin Apple Pancakes

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 16 minutes

Total Time: 21 minutes

Yield: 4


  • 1 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 Cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 Pinches of nutmeg
  • Pinch of clove
  • 1/2 Cup pureed pumpkin ( can or homemade)
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup Milk ( Low fat, whole or Buttermilk)
  • 1 Peeled and Shredded Granny Smith apple
  • Squeeze half a lemon


  1. In a bowl combine all the dry ingredients together. In another bowl Combine all the wet ingredients. Fold in the Shredded apples but making sure not to over mix the batter. Heat a skillet. Using a 1/3 measuring cup Cook on one side for 2-3 minutes or bubbles starts to pop on the batter, flip the pancake over and cook on the other side for a minute or so. Keep pancakes warm and serve hot with hot maple syrup. Enjoy.
