I LOVE Brownies~I mean really who doesn’t love brownies~they are delicious and a chocolate lovers dream and its like an American dessert that every house hold in USA has had weather if its store bought or homemade. I do have a bone to pick with some brownie recipes or in-fact most of them, I find that the cocoa to sugar ratio is uneven~I mean brownies are all about the chocolate right? I mean they are called brownies because of chocolate, and I find that all brownie recipes I come across with have just ~WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR~if your reading this you know I’m right. Chocolate in its natural form is bitter and not sweet and finding that brownies having 1 1/2 cup of sugar is I think way too much sugar~it should not be sweet~it should be chocolate-y and slightly sweet~your showcasing the delicious and chocolate-y taste of chocolate not sugar if your show-casing sugar then it would be a sugar bar~again~you know I am right.
My Midnight Brownies does justice in showcasing the chocolate-y and delicious taste of what I think “ TRUE BROWNIES” should be~chocolate-y, fudgy and cakey~using Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Cocoa and a teaspoon of instant coffee granules~My midnight brownies are or should I say “IS” I think what a real brownie taste like, adding the instant coffee heightens and highlights more of the true chocolate of my midnight brownies~just take my word for it~I am calling my self now a true brownie connoisseur. My Midnight Brownies are the true brownies and what a brownie should be~Less sugar~more Chocolate-y, fudgy and above all cakey.
