My Double Stuffed Chocolate & Peanut Butter Chip Cookie Bars~words just cant describe how delicious and decadent this piece of cookie bar art work so I showed it to you in pictures~it truly is a celebration of Peanut Butter~and since My Husband loves PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES & REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER CUPS~ I decided to combine it all in to one~its~ A PEANUT BUTTER LOVERS DREAM COOKIE BAR~it truly is. For The Peanut Butter Lovers OUT THERE~this one is for you.

 

Double Stuffed Chocolate & Peanut Butter Chip Cookie Bars

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Yield: 12 Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1 Stick unsalted butter, soften
  • 1/2 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup peanut butter
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Teaspoon baking soda
  • More than half a bag of 110z peanut butter and milk chocolate morsels
  • Resse's peanut butter eggs (enough to cover a 9 inch baking pan)
  • 3 Large Hershey's milk Chocolate bars (enough to cover a 9 inch baking pan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter a 9 inch baking pan and line with foil, butter the foil as well. In a stand mixer cream butter and sugars together till light and fluffy, add the peanut butter and cream to combined, add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well till incorporated. In a bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda and whisk well, add in the chocolate and peanut butter chips and whisk well, with the stand mixer running on low add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture till just combined. Spread half of the batter evenly on the prepared pan.
  2. lay the hersheys chocolate bars on top making sure to cover all of the pan, then the peanut butter eggs on top of the hershey's bars. Crumble the remaining cookie dough on top of the peanut butter eggs and bake in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes or untill the cookies are pulling away from the sides and are lightly golden grown on top. let it cool in on the cooling rack. Let cool in pan before cutting.
